Anyone who’s met me or seen the products I design, knows I only live to colour your world, a bit like the festival of colour ‘Holi.‘ Its a harvest festival and marks the end of winter, and as we never get much of a Spring, we grab the opportunity to go out, picnic, or relax in a park with your lunch packed into a lovely shiny, colourful enamelled Tiffin Box, before the temperatures soar to HOT then, pretty much, HOTTER overnight! If you’re new to North India, we apologise for what you are about to receive!
Tables from around the world
I had such fun last week with an Australian friend, who was asked to design a dinner table with the flavours of home. When consulted, I ‘happened’ to have just the plates with the required colours!
The idea came together with the perfect linen, kindly provided by Utopia Goods, Australia. The glass Colour Border plates, under the blue patterned plates are part of a colour series I designed and created a while ago. The Salad Servers were embellished with handmade glass beads in the appropriate colours, also provided by yours truly.
Accented with the red vase, red salad bowl and the Australia shaped cheese board, which was a great addition accompanied by my beaded Cheese Knife of course! By George she did it, and doesn’t it look fabulous! What say you?
On that jolly, cheesy note I wish all of you a very Happy and colourful Holi!
Till next time….
